What Gapmap is

Gapmap gives you diagnostics, study material, AI-graded practice, and a personal knowledge map for technical interview preparation. Study content is free; measurement, verification, and coaching features may become paid — pricing will be published before anything is charged. Today the product is free while in development.

Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email — keep access to that inbox secure, since anyone with the link can access your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person; you must be at least 16.

AI grading — what it is and isn't

Scores, bands, and feedback are produced by an automated grading system. They are honest estimates built against interview rubrics — not certifications, guarantees, or predictions of interview outcomes. Hiring decisions belong to employers; we make no promise that any score leads to any job.

Grading can occasionally be wrong. That's why verification exists and why we show per-criterion feedback rather than a bare number. If a verdict looks off, tell us.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, extract, or republish the question bank, grading rubrics, or study content.
• Use bots or automation to take assessments, or otherwise game the grading.
• Probe, overload, or attack the service, or attempt to access other users' data.
• Resell or provide the service to third parties without our agreement.

Your content

Your answers remain yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the product: to store your answers, send them to our AI provider for grading, and show you the results. We may use anonymized, aggregated statistics (never your identifiable answers) to calibrate grading and improve content.

Our content

The question bank, rubrics, study notes, the knowledge map, and the site itself are ours (or licensed to us) and protected by intellectual-property law. Free access to study content is for your personal interview preparation, not for building datasets or competing products.

Availability and changes

The product is under active development: features may change, appear, or be removed, and downtime can happen. We'll be transparent about meaningful changes, especially any that affect paid features once they exist.

Termination

You can leave any time by deleting your account (Account page — deletion is immediate and permanent). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including interview or hiring outcomes. For a free service our total liability is capped at zero; once paid plans exist, it will be capped at what you paid us in the preceding 12 months.

Governing law and contact

Governing law and venue will be specified here upon company registration; until then, mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies where applicable. These terms will be reviewed and versioned before paid plans open.
